Log in to Pocket when your Firefox Account isn't an option

Some apps don't provide a way to log in to Pocket with your Firefox Account. You can create a Pocket-specific password to log in to these apps:

  1. Visit Pocket's Forgot your username or password? page.
  2. Enter the email address that you use with your Firefox Account, and click Submit.
  3. Check your email for a message from Pocket, and follow the instructions to set a password.

Problems logging in to Pocket

  1. Click the menu button New Fx Menu and choose Options.Preferences.
  2. Click the PrivacyPrivacy & Security panel.
  3. Under History, choose Use custom settings for history in the drop-down list and uncheck Always use private browsing mode.
  4. Click the Exceptions button.
  5. Enter getpocket.com in the Address of website field, then click Allow.
  6. Click Save Changes to finish.
If you prefer not to change your privacy settings, you may manually save a page to Pocket. See Pocket support for instructions.
