My pdf files used to open automatically. Now they download and I have to click on the arrow and select the file to open. How do I make them open automatically?

Chosen solution

Go to Preferences->Applications and see what actions are assigned for PDF and Portable Document Format. It should be "preview in firefox" for it to open directly in Firefox.
