Messages delayed but where and why
Hello I have several accounts with different ISPs and all accounts are configured for IMAP
The problem is that I often get my messages "late".
For example, this morning, I had checked all my email accounts maybe 4 times betwee, 9h30 and 11h30 CET time At around 11h30 CET time, I get a message apparently sent at 9h30 (CET time I suppose). That's two hours later than I would have expected. I've looked at the code (below) but can't work out what this all means.
I simply would like to know if this is a problem on the server or if Thunderbird does not connect when I try to download messages but does not give a warning and so I think there are no messages when there are

The part I am not sure about is this:

I am not sure which part of the system generates this line. If it's the sender, then if we are to be believe what it says, his clock is wrong as he is apparently sending the message after it arrives. Otherwise it suggests that you got the message some 17 minutes after it became available.
Nonetheless, as far as I can tell, there is nothing here that definitively tells us when Thunderbird collected the message. There's nothing to account for the 2 hour delay you encountered.
If you have it, the "order received" column in Thunderbird can be used to sort the messages by when they arrived. This might indicate if the errant message did indeed arrive out of order, so to speak.
