I just got and installed Lightshot add on. Now whenever I log out of firefox it says it crashes. This happens when I log out. Can you fix this?

I just got the add on Light Shot screensaver tool. Now whenever I exit out of firefox it says firfox has crashed. It does not generate a crash report.

I have tried both the red x on top to exit as well as the options menu exit button.

Only happens since I got this add on 2 days ago.

That's odd, I've been using Lightshot for a while and it has never crashed Firefox for me. I currently have it running now and do not experience this. Did you install Lightshot from the AMO site? (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/lightshot/?src=search)

If so, remove the add-on, get the standalone installer (https://app.prntscr.com/en/index.html) and see if that helps.

Hi, does Firefox crash if you disable Lightshot? If not, it might be easier to try another screenshot add-on such as https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/nimbus-screenshot/

If you have other add-ons, Lightshot may be incompatible with one of them, so you could try disabling them all to see if Lightshot still crashes FF - Add-ons Manager (Ctrl+Shift+A) > Extensions.

Lightshot is the only add on I have now.

The good thing about it is that it allows me to upload screenshots directly to their homepage.

This allows me to provide a link for the image.

I already know how to take screenshots that save the image to my own computer.

This add on is a better tool then Nimbus appears to be since I am back to saving on my own pc. Which does not help me in the applications I need to use Light shot for.

Thank you Moses, the solution you provided does the trick now firefox does not crash when i exit out.
