dianet Posted 7/16/17, 5:18 PM When using some sites, there are many redirects and I even get a new fire fox page. Why and how can I fix this?

I am using a Hewlett-Packard - HP ENVY TouchSmart Sleekbook 4 with windows 10 64 bit operating system. Extensions: Adblocker Plus and ZenMate Security, and unblock VPN Plugins: OpenH264 Video Codec

              Shockwave Flash 26.0
              Widevine Content Decryption

When I go to primewire.ag, ,watchfree.to, putlocker.today, etc and click on a tv show a new smaller firefox page opens, or some other site that I DID NOT CLICK ON.

I have followed to the letter all the remedies I have received from your TOP Contributor Happy 112 and Nothing is working.

Every single time i go to a web site using Firefox I get redirects to other sites. If I'm using ZenMate the redirects are to English sites. If I'm not using ZenMate I get redirects to Thai web pages.

Now my question to Firefox 1. can this be fixed? 2. How do totally uninstall FireFox and reinstall it with none of my bookmarks and no extensions?

Please help Diane

A complete stab in the dark, but would you check these settings please :

3-bar menu => Options => Advanced => General tab : Under 'Accessibility' : check : 'Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page'

And also :

3-bar menu => Options => Content : Under 'Pop-ups' : Check ": 'Block pop-up windows'

In my research of this product "ZenMate" it seems others have random pop-up websites as well. Are you 100% sure that this product "ZenMate" is secure?

From an outside source (Google Support), a user reported the same incident, in which ZenMate has you install "Ghostery" which is a total marketing scheme. Supposedly it's an add-on attached with ZenMate. If you happen to find this Add-On or Application on your computer, I'd advise you to either disable or delete it. After doing so, I'd 100% suggest a full Malware Scan just to ensure your safety on the web!
