open several random bookmarks simultaneously - NOT create separate folder for a set of them
on startup i want to be able to select multiple random bookmarks in separate tabs without having to reopen the menu and select individually. others have asked same question - i do not want to create a separate folder (which is answer frequently offered by people who clearly haven't read the question properly, bless them). if there is a simple answer i can't find it. the simplest answer would be to use chrome so i can simply hold down 'control' and move through menus clicking bookmarks i want. surely firefox has this capacity??? any help very much appreciated (simple, please - i'm a dummy-bot when it comes to all this).. you may just save me from a one way walk to the top of a very tall building! :o\ ..lol thank you and have a lovely day; with your help i will as soon as i can figure this one!

Do you mean Chrome's bookmarks menu is "sticky" and stays open as you Ctrl+click around on it?
Firefox's bookmarks menu is not sticky, but you can open the Bookmarks Sidebar and use it to launch several tabs, then close the sidebar. You can open the Bookmarks Sidebar using either:
- Ctrl+b
- bookmarks menu button on toolbar > View Bookmarks Sidebar
- add the sidebars button to the toolbar/menu using Customize (Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars)
Note that in order to direct bookmarks to open in a background tab -- so Firefox doesn't switch to each one as you go -- you need to change a preference as follows:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste tabs and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click the browser.tabs.loadBookmarksInBackground preference to switch the value from false to true

You can do that via the Startup options by setting multiple Homepages.
