All drag operations crash Firefox and Thunderbird on ubuntu with nvidia card

Posted

All drag operations ( moving a book mark to the tool bar, moving E-mails to other folders, ...) crashes both Firefox and Thunderbird. I am running Ubuntu 16.04 with an NVidia card (Linux 4.4.0-78-generic #99-Ubuntu SMP and Nvidia-375 375.39-0ubuntu0.16.04.1) Firefox 53.0.3 (64-bit) canonical - 1.0 & Thunderbird 52.1.1 (64-bit)

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP- in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most recent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Press the Reply button. Now go to the reply box and paste them in.

https://support.mozilla.org/t5/Troubleshooting/Mozilla-Crash-Reporter-TB/ta-p/14164#w_viewing-crash-reports In Thunderbird, open Troubleshooting Information from the Help menu, and go to the Crash Reports section.

Then post the report numbers in the Thunderbird support forum; https://support.mozilla.org/questions/thunderbird
