Chosen solution

After you start the setup wizard from File/New/Existing Mail Account, enter your email address and password, then click Manual config. and enter the settings for a POP account according to Frontier's website.

incoming POP server: pop3.frontier.com port: 995 Connection security: SSL/TLS Authentication: normal password User name: your email address

outgoing SMTP server: smtp.frontier.com port: 465 Connection security: SSL/TLS Authentication: normal password User name: your email address

You may have to disable your antivirus program while setting up the account; afterwards, disable the AV scanning of email folders if it's an option.
