Cannot send mail via apple outgoing mil servers. Apple can't/won't help.

I cannot send emails from Thunderbird. Errors re reported about the outgoing server. This got worse when I changed my Service to go through the Apple outgoing server, as per your instructions on your website. I get this alert: "An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: 5.7.0 No STARTTLS command has been given.. Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again."

HELP.

I don't understand it, but I am seeing your question for the first time today, despite it being 5 days old, and I check all the older unanswered questions.

In order to help you, please post here your Thunderbird Troubleshooting Information.

At the top right of the Thunderbird window, click the menu button (or use the regular menu at the top), then select Help: Troubleshooting Information.

Click the "Copy text to clipboard" button.  Do not check the box "Include account names"  Then paste (Ctrl-V), the text into your response here. We only need to see the sections down to and including the "Extensions" section, so you can delete the rest.
