I have been using TB for years (since 1.0.2) on Windows and Linux with no crashes or major issues, quite an achievement.

Since the 52 update, it hard crashes almost every time I use it on both Windows and Fedora Linux.

I've been waiting weeks for an update to fix whatever is wrong. I can't wait much longer.

Well TB 52.1.0 64 bit from Fedora 25 repository seems to fix the issue. and TB 52.1.0 32 bit on Windows 10 does NOT fix the issue.

Thanks to whoever fixed it, I have been using TB for many years and really did not want to change my EMAIL client.

The most common crashes are caused by the McAfee spam tool and the priority switcher add-ons. But if you provide a crash id we might be able to be more specific.

I'm using the Fedora 25 repository version. Note that I also have the same issue with Windows 10. Before version 52 I can't remember TB crashing going back to version 1.0.2

This crash, @ nsImapCacheStreamListener::OnStopRequest, we hope to have fixed in 52.1.1 which should be out in the next 1-2 weeks. if it doesn't solve it, then please update this topic

Chosen Solution

Well TB 52.1.0 64 bit from Fedora 25 repository seems to fix the issue. and TB 52.1.0 32 bit on Windows 10 does NOT fix the issue.

According to Wayne Mery (previous reply) TB 52.1.1 should fix the issue and be out in the near future.

So, I will mark it as solved for now and wait for the Windows 10 TB 52.1.1

Thanks to whoever fixed it, I have been using TB for many years and really did not want to change my EMAIL client.
