After installing the latest update, I can't start Thunderbird without restarting my laptop everytime. (Win10)

I was informed this morning that an update was available for Thunderbird. I delayed restarting Thunderbird to complete the installation of the update as I was occupied with other tasks. Eventually I restarted Thunderbird and the update was completed. I had attempted to reply to a link in one of my emails. Thunderbird shut down and would not restart no matter what i tried. I tried starting it from the icon in the task bar and I tried starting it from the desktop icon In order to get it going again. Nothing worked. I have to reboot my Laptop. I am currently running the latest version of Win10 and Firefox in addition to the latest version of Mail Washer. It worked flawlessly before this latest update. Any ideas?

OK, you had to reboot the computer after the update. It is not clear what is happening now after you rebooted.

Can you start Thunderbird now? If not what happens?
