WHERE IS OPTIONS IN THUNDERBIRD 45.6.0
I used to find OPTIONS under TOOLS but I can't find it anywhere. I need it to change my imap password. I googled the query and cannot find anything relevant. I use Thunderbird 45.6.0 (the latest version) on a Mac. Many thanks for your help

On Mac OSX and Linux it is Preferences as it is Options on Windows

You also have an option under the three bar icon it opens a drop down menu. Its a bit difficult to spot options inthis drop down as it is exactly where the first "option" was. You should be able to use F10 to see menu bar and Tools. Another way could be going thru you account setings and find a link to global settings.

Thank you for this. I got found the answer to my query (I needed Options in order to check/change an imap password in Mac/Thunderbird, as I couldn't get my gmails any more). For future investigators, here is the solution: click on Thunderbird (top bar, right of the apple), Preferences, Security, Passwords, Saved passwords, Show passwords - you can then remove the one you want to change, and change it for another one if you so wish - in any case it is useful to know where the passwords are hiding. With best wishes.
