I have a desktop & wifi, what do I set for "proxy" for internet connections

I have a desktop & wifi, what do I set for "proxy" for internet connections! I'm having great difficulty with the single password for "all".

What selection to make where? In Firefox, you can retain the default setting of "Use system proxy setting" or if you prefer, choose No proxy.

Do those not work? If they don't work, please describe the problem in more detail. I don't know what you mean by I'm having great difficulty with the single password for "all".

Hi vanzelm1, normally Firefox connects using the connection features provided by your operating system and you don't need to use any manual proxy settings in Firefox at all.

If your wi-fi router requires you to set proxy settings at the Windows level, presumably they gave you some documentation on how to do that. If not, maybe check their website, or contact the support for your service provider if it's a cable/DSL modem.

I understand, I don't need to apply a proxy but I'm still not sure of which selection to make.
