I scroll up on d menu bar I tap downloads at d bottom I click on 'show containing folder
from there I was unable to make tnz right

Usually when you click Show Containing Folder, Firefox will launch a Windows Explorer window with the download highlighted. Does that part work, or --

  • does nothing happen when you click the Show Containing Folder icon?
  • does Windows Explorer open but the file is missing?

If you can open the folder and see the file but the file does not play:

Possibly there is a problem with the file extension. To make sure you can see all file extensions in Windows Explorer, please check this Microsoft article: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/show-hide-file-name-extensions

If the extension is not associated with the correct program, you may need to right-click > Rename the file with the correct extension.

Hi,

Have you checked your videos library ?

Hi drcater, Opera and Firefox are two completely different browsers:

opera firefox , having windows 10 enterprise.

Firefox

How are you downloading the videos?

If you are using a standard YouTube link or button, or a standard Firefox right-click context menu item, then the download should show up on Firefox's downloads list and the "Open Containing Folder" icon should be fully functional. Are you getting an error message there? Any additional information you can provide would be helpful.

If you are using an add-on to download videos, the add-on might have a separate list, or might be moving the download away from its initial location. Some add-ons have detailed documentation or support sites to assist their users, but if you can't find that, could you mention what add-on you're using?

yes³ jscher you are actually on the way and I have no idea that I was unable to open what I download. and u were asking me what type of add-on I previously installed b4 I was having troubleshoot 'perhaps(I couldn't remember) so far as I deleted it nd pretty much sure I think nothing bad will happen so em angry about it. After that, I scroll up on d menu bar I tap downloads at d bottom I click on 'show containing folder from there I was unable to make tnz right

everywhere is checked

jscher am satisfying with all ur feedbacks but lemme just go straight to the point, the main problem is that after I finish downloading the items then I click on d add-ons where d plugin is so I suddenly remove it, bcux it's displaying "all in 1 converter" if i press new-tab at d top instead of showing me my recent web address and em wondering whether that sort of plugin will tend to disorganize my browser thatz why I dump it And if I click on open containing folder it will not even open in windows explore as how I click on the file it would not respond and they are out of sight in 'downloads' folder at win explorer may be the removal of that plugin can consequently take it away

Okay, I understand you first did the download, then you removed an add-on related to "All in 1 converter".

Was it this? SaveFrom.net helper all-in-1 / youtube downloader -- their FAQ says to check the download list, so not very helpful.

The part I'm concerned about is the download list not working correctly.

Is this problem only with mp4 downloads, or all downloads?

Does it work any better in the "Library" dialog? You can open that using either:

  • Ctrl+j
  • "Show All Downloads" after clicking the arrow icon

It may save them in its own folder somewhere. Do you see anything in the Windows "Video" folder?

windows video folder, nothing there and from that day I download a copy of that same missing mp4 file and it works fine and I can be able to explore it in d download folder. then I now see d problem wasn't from d extension actually, and it was not d problem of downloads dialog
