Some pages on the Fine Art America website appear to redirect to an open HTTP page. The login page and shopping cart page at least allows to be opened as a secure HTTPS page if I modify the URL on the location/address bar.

On the drop-down panel that appears when you click that "Control Center" area, the "X" will remove a customized permission and restore the default permission. So if the permission is currently Allow, you would not want to click the X. However, if the permission is currently Block, you might need to click the X to restore the default permission.

I solved the problem of uploading images to Fine Art America by bookmarking the https page as the upload button in my account connects me to a http page.

However, FAA has upgraded (altered) the https page and now it does not work. The reason Mozilla is giving is that the images are not secure (I know I am technically dumb but, if the images are not secure on a https images upload page...how can it be secure in any way?) I now have the green lock and the yellow triangle appearing. Can I override this? How? in very simple terms please.

I have contacted FAA and asked them to make the upload page secure for images and/or restore my old https page. I am being ignored so the only alternative I can see is to override it.

Hi Walcat, if the site is displaying images with an HTTP address in an HTTPS page, that may be difficult to change on your end. Are these your own images?? In that case, they probably are not dangerous content and it may be more trouble than it's worth to try to "hack" the page to change their addresses from HTTP to HTTPS addresses. (If that's possible, I'm not sure it's even possible.)

But as I mentioned before, the "triangle" for mixed display content is just for your information, it doesn't affect how the page works. If the page is not working, something else is causing that.

It is a https adress. which is why I can't understand why the images are not secure. Yes, they are my own images. I upload them for sale on the FAA site from an Adobe File.

Hi Denise, this is a matter of website design. If the page was designed for HTTP and just incidentally can be accessed using HTTPS, they may not have coded their image links for HTTPS. It's not so easy to override from the browser side.
