I am working from home. I need to see my Thunderbird email which is on my workstation at the office. I can't use the "remote control" option because I will be doing that to get to the server. I know my email address and password but I don't know how to log in from home.

Never mind. Someone else answered the question that I originally answered. Your first answer should have been "there is no way to access Thunderbird is you cannot access the computer on which it is installed." Thanks anyway

If your email account uses IMAP (most of them do these days), you simply set it up using the same details on your home and office machines. An IMAP account maintains copies of your data on all the machines that access it (PCs, laptops, phones etc.) so you see the same messages in the same folders on them all.

Sorry, I should have explained that I am NOT a computer person - I did not set up the email at the office and have no clue how to do it at home. I don't know what IMAP is and I don't know how to "set it up" - that was what I was asking. Basically, I need some kindergarten blue-crayon level help to walk me through the process  :)
