Since version 45.3.0 of thunderbird (maybe before but I didn't notice) saved drafts are encrypted by Enigmail. System: Linux 64 bit English. Is there a way to turn this off?

Chosen solution

Tools|Account Settings|{select account}|OpenGPG Security→Encrypt draft messages on saving

I suspect this is one of those settings that changes without rhyme or reason, possibly during an update.

Thanks very much, Zenos, that solved it. It is -by the way- Edit | Accout Settings ... Must have been changed during an update.
