HOw the hell do I get rid of this "other" and "focused" thing? I hate it and it was installed without my consent!

My mail is divided into "focused" and "other." Why? I want once column of messages. Period.

Oh, this one might have the instructions for Outlook websites:

https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Focused-Inbox-for-Outlook-f445ad7f-02f4-4294-a82e-71d8964e3978

  1. In Outlook on the web or Outlook.com, select Settings icon > Display settings > Focused Inbox.

  2. Under When email is received, select Sort messages into Focused and Other. The Focused and Other tabs will appear at the top of your mailbox. You’ll be informed about email flowing to Other, and you can switch between tabs any time to take a quick look.

If you want to turn off Focused Inbox, select Don't sort messages.

On the Display Settings page you can turn Focused Inbox on or off

  3. Click OK.

I found an article that describes how to turn it off for mail apps, but is your problem on a website or in an app?

Thanks much. I don't know why I didn't find the solution myself, because I thought I went through every settings option I could find. Apparently I missed the connection between "display settings" and sorting mail into arbitrary groups. Now I'd like to know why the change was made without my request, but that's another matter.

I appreciate the help.
