When I start Firefox the screen resolution opens with 640x480. When I change it to the recommended 1024x768 this does not hold. The next time I start Firefox it opens with the lower resolution.

This is a new problem as I've been using Firefox for years without trouble. I've tried refreshing but this didn't resolve problem.

I use Windows 7 Professional and have the latest version of Firefox.

hi MargieB, please right-click the firefox shortcut on your desktop, go to properties > compatibility and make sure that all compatibility options are unchecked.
