How to fix the serch engine issues?

Search engines previously installed and used before the last update disappeared and now i can't add them again or access the Search option in the Preferences menu. I already tried the solutions on the forum but they didn't work. Also, some other minor issues showed up. For example: the option Open in New Tab, on the "left click menu" is not working. Some links seem not to be "recognized" properly. For example: when choosing to copy a link address it only gives the option of copying an image adress and doesn't copy anything at all. Thanks!

Hello filipekraces, please try to change in about:config the next preference

  • distribution.searchplugins.defaultLocale

from "data:text/plain,distribution.searchplugins.defaultLocale=en-US" to "en-US"

any luck ?
