recently when I try to download some files I get a pop-up window that asks me download a compressed file for internet download manager. Is this a scam or do I really need it?

I found that I did have a download manager in the add-ons. It had been disabled. I enabled it and things are working now. Thanks for offering to help.

Can you provide more details? Do you already have a downloader program?

I found that I did have a download manager in the add-ons. It had been disabled. I enabled it and things are working now. Thanks for offering to help.
