How can I get rid of Smart Views?

Posted

I prefer my own system that I have been using for years. I definitely do not want records of deleted files sitting there in Smart Views. Once deleted, I want them to stay gone. Who's idea was this to foist this program off onto people any way? Shades of the Microsoft 10 fiasco..... What do I have to do to take Smart Views off of my computer, not hidden -- gone?

You have a later version of Firefox, but I suspect the Smart Views you're seeing is not a new Firefox feature but some other program...

When I search, I see references to a feature of Yahoo! mail, a feature of the Blackboard software, the 2day task management program, and some adware that injects ads into web pages ("ads by smart view").

But I don't know whether any of those are relevant to you. Could you describe what you're seeing in more detail?
