Which is the best software to get for virus protection and Internet security that would be compatible with Firefox?

I have spent 3 days with AVG trying to get there Internet software to work and finally there top support team gave up. I have always used AVG antivirus with no problems but it expired and I am afraid to even try there upgraded version. Can anyone help me.

I use Comodo AntiVirus Free.

As long as it is for "personal use" and not for commercial or business use, I recommend avoiding any "paid for" AV program or Security Suite as most, if not all now-a-days, tend to install virtually worthless add-ons for Firefox which usually have features that are already built in to Firefox. And those add-ons produce more support issues than what you experienced with the AVG Firewall.
