I write an email in thunder bird and insert a table in it. Then I put some data in the table and send this email to myself in my gmail. But when I receive this email at gmail, data does not appear in table. It appears scattered without any table.

Please help.

Chosen solution

I have figured out the issue. This is problem with MS Exchange Server because if I use gmail as my outgoing email server, everything works fine.

Thanks to Zenos and Matt.

I've just written an email message incorporating a table in my gmx account and sent it to my gmail account.

It arrived intact, that is, with the text all in the table.

Are you set to view messages using original HTML?

Zenos, thanks for your reply.

Yes, I am already set to view messages using original HTML, but the problem persists.

Are you creating the table in Thunderbird or pasting it form another source?

TAbled pasted from word and excel in particular have a habit of going wonky.

I am creating table in Thunderbird using "Insert" > "Table" commands.

For sending email, I connect to my organization's MS Exchange Server using ExQuilla add-on.
