Hi Marvr1, I think that is an add-on. Could you check the Add-ons page, Extensions list, to see whether it is still installed, but has become disabled? Either:
- Ctrl+Shift+a
- "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then on the right side, look for the McAfee extension. Disabled extensions cluster at the bottom. If it disabled, is there a button to Enable it?
If it is marked as not verified, and there's no update available, you may need to make a temporary exception to the signing requirement -- this is global for all extensions, there's currently no way to only make an exception for specific extensions.
(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste xpin and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click the xpinstall.signatures.required preference to switch it from true to false -- note that this is for Firefox 43 only

thank you so much I did the xpin thing and reinstalled safe key.Got all my passwords back thanks so very much for your help
In the event that the passwords information is lost, you should record all information in a separate text file somewhere else on your hard drive, or written down. You can easily copy and paste if you need to do so. If you are concerned about someone else looking at that file, you can compress it using a password.
