My bookmarks are missing since Profile Reset, and I can't restore them.

Hi.

Firefox was taking too long to launch, so I restored my profile as it was suggested. It was said that it would keep my bookmarks, and the fact that it didn't really bothered me. If it was said thai I would lose it, I would just backup them, but I dind't.


When I go to my old data folder and try to restore the bookmarks with the backup I found there, Firefox says it's "unable to process the backup file".

I looked for similar questions and seems like it's because I'm trying to use a .jsonlz4 file, not a HTML one, but I don't know how to find another one.

Wow, so I restored it again and it's all there... strange. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Note that you always restore a JSON backup (uncompressed or compressed) and that you import an HTML backup. The former replaces all current bookmarks and the latter merges the bookmarks.

The "unable to process the backup file" error message could indicate a problem with the places.sqlite default browser file.
