Original forum logon not working, can't reset it!

This post is for the forum administrators.

I've been trying for two day to get on this forum with my previously existing log on to no avail. My logon and password were not working so I click the lost password link and NOTHING!! NO EMAIL, NOTHING. I click on link to re-verify my email. It finds my email address, again NOTHING, NO EMAIL. (Yes, I checked the spam filter....) I look all over the site and can't find a place to contact anyone.

So here I am after creating an unnecessary second logon.

Please fix the reset password process. and when that's done and I've re-established the original logon I want to delete this logon...

Boy am I embarrassed..... :-p I found the reset messages. I have extensive email filters setup and the messages were moved to a local folder.

Could you please delete this logon account?

I rarely see anyone associated with running this forum on here. I have reported this thread to a moderator to see if they can get someone to look at this issue. you are the second person today to report this problem.

SciFiFan, it's most likely you forgot what email you used to register your old account. The "forgot username" page will say that any email entered there will receive a password reset email. This is not true. And something I hope to change since it's misleading. It was made this way to prevent spammers from figuring out what real email addresses are used at this site.

What's your old username? I can look up what email address you used to register it.

I did not forget my email address I used. I am using a password manager that had the logon stored. Also, when I tried to create a new logon with my email address, it said the address was already in use.

The username is SciFiFan.
