I am looking to host Firefox on a shared services infrastructure (RDS) and want to block users from accessing files on the local drives by typing in file://C:/ in the URL bar. I have as of yet been unable to find any setting or configuration change that can be made to stop this from working. Thanks

Maybe you can run Firefox in a sandbox environment that doesn't allow access to the local hard drive.

Having more than one version of a program may cause issues. You must remove the older programs. Then get the current full installer.

Note: Edge on Win10 does not use ActiveX version but its own Flash.

Flash: Grab the uninstaller from here: Uninstall Flash Player | Windows Uninstall Flash Player | Mac

Then reinstall the latest version.
