How can I maintain the version 31.5.0 which supports extra folder columns (EFC). SOLVED: EFC is integrated into version 38, so the addon is no longer needed
Hello. I use 31.5.0 version and absolutely don't want to update to 38.3.0 one, because this version doesn't allow the plugin extra_folder_columns-1.1.5- which is extremely useful and I can't understand why it’s not an intrinsic part of Thunderbird, and since it's not, why it’s no longer supported by latest versions. Now, besides the bothering of continuous asking of updating, there is a problem, which is new, never seen before: Thunderbird has just begun to mix, confuse the signatures: I have various accounts and I linked a different signature for any of them, and now, just now (few days) it doesn't work anymore. Maybe is a clear PUSH to update version? Thanks.

For extra columns they are part of Tbird 38. Do View / layout /folder panes columns

If you want to control your updates just choose that in tools /options / advanced / update
Thank you for the suggestion: you're right, obviously, and this would solve the short question (I was obliged to write short). Anyway, the choice that avoids the bothering window is unsafe... or at least it's described this way. Therefore the matter is: can I maintain the old version without getting in problems of programme? That is to say: is going the old version to work bad, since we HAVE TO UPDATE?

Maybe I didn't understand... In "standard" Thunderbird I have no extra-folder columns, where I can see immediately the number of mails in each folder without open them. I had to put this ADD-ON (https://addons.mozilla.org/it/thunderbird/addon/extra-folder-columns/?src=search) which, moreover, is no longer supported by the new version.

Well... it's interesting... This is my view of the Italian version 31.5.0 with the add-on... Maybe I must use the English version, which is no problem. Just I thought they were the same, although in different languages... I will download the latest version in another PC and I will try. Thanks.
TB 31 doesn't have it. It was (re)-introduced in TB 38 and shouldn't be a language problem. I have it in a Swedish version. Although I prefer the English.

Oh, good! Thank you very much. I will try.
