How can I change Firefox locale?

My administrator today installed a different Firefox version (a FrontMotion version) to my machine. This version apparently has deleted my German Mozilla Firefox installation and installed in English.

Now all the shortcut keys I've been using have become different and, thus, lost.

I couldn't find a preferences setting to switch to a different locale. Even downloading the latest Firefox version didn't allow me to select my preferred locale.

So, how can I change the locale settings in Firefox?

Chosen solution

I have been able to find a localized Firefox version at that website. However, this new version seems to be a standard Firefox version. I expect it to be purged in the future again.

However, now I do have my German Firefox version back for the time being.

Thank you for your helping me.

Hi

If this is an installation on your own device, I would suggest that that install and try this add-on that may help you.

You mention that your administrator installed the update..? You may need to go back to them to make sure that the right version is installed for your internal policy.

I hope this helps, but if not, please come back here and we can look into a different solution for you.

I have downloaded the plug-in, but unfortunately it didn't solve the problem. The main menu still is in English.

I don't believe that going to the administrators will be a feasible solution. If the German edition is not on their list, I won't get it.

Perhaps the FrontMotion version is just missing the locale files. Do you perhaps know where I can download them, so I can copy/paste them to the appropriate directory?

Hi

I recommend you have a chat the support people at FrontMotion. You should be able to get in touch with them here.
