How can I import all of my data from Outlook 2007, Windows 10 to Thunderbird?

Outlook 2007 has become very flaky as regards rules for sorting incoming email into folders, and Windows 10 had made it worse. I am considering switching to Thunderbird but want access to all my old emails. How do I import my email, address book, calendar, etc. (maybe not rules, i can reestablish those as things come in)? My computer is an HP Pavilion, 64-bit, recently upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10, 7G RAM.

Import from Outlook is broken in Thunderbird 38. You will need to use Thunderbird 31 to do the import. Get it from https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/releases/31.8.0/win32/en-US/ Once the import is done update again to the latest version via the built-in update mechanism.
