Forwarded messages in 38.0 shows the original sender as the sender instead of using my email address. How can I change that to show me email as the sender?

Since thunderbird updated to 38.0, all the emails that I forward use the original sender's email address as the sender instead of mine. How can I change who the recipient will see as the sender to my email address?

The new way that thunderbird does this is problematic as the recipient may not open the email if it shows being sent from someone they don't know.

Thanks in advance!

Alright, thank you, Toad-Hall! By answering my other question about deleting one message that's part of a thread, you answered this one as well. : ) I guess I had inadvertently clicked on the "Display message threads" icon--I had thought the Thunderbird update changed how emails were displayed, etc. Soooo, here's the fix y'all:

If you have your emails showing as 'threaded' then you will get the issue you are discussing.

So, remove the threading and then delete the specific emails. You can do this by clicking on the 'Display message threads' column header icon. It is usually the first column header.

or select 'unthreaded': 'View' > 'sort by' > 'unthreaded'
