Unable to load address book file impab.mab. It may be read-only, or locked by another application. Please try again later. This is the message I get each time
The above information shows what I am told each time I open Thunderbird. Nothing I have been able to do has gotten me even close to a solution. I am desperate. Where is impab.mab stored on my computer, perhaps I can handle it in some fashion.

on the help menu, select troubleshooting information
select the show profile button. Close Thunderbird rename the file impab.mab for anything you like really
restart Thunderbird.
