How can I adjust how long emails remain in my inbox?
I want emails to remain longer in my inbox as I sometimes want to refer back to them....
Chosen solution
No. If your using IMAP you are using Thunderbird, but you are also using your providers IMAP mail server and it's rules about data retention.
Thunderbird has data retention rules. Right click the account in the folder pane. select settings and go to the synchronization and storage setting for the account. These settings however can be over ridden by server policies, So if your provider has a policy of deleting mail after a week, then Thunderbird will have to follow that as the account synchronizes back to the server.
