This new rev is screwing up a lot of my settings. Make the new line at the bottom with the animated red spinner GO THE FUCK AWAY.

I already disabled this "lightening" piece of junk.

No, I'm NOT going to leave it enabled. Its just bloating the software and making my CPU do more work. I have no damn use for this.

Chosen solution

Do you see it in safe mode? (help menu > restart with add-ons disabled)

Perhaps you could provide a screenshot of whatever element it is that you do not like.

I have no red anything so I have no idea what your talking about.

The line says PROTO TIME DATA 0% and the red dots spinning in a circle are on the very right.

Well that's useless, the original TIFF was 24 inches wide so I reduced it to 6" before converting to PNG so I could post it...

try the original size...

Ackk. The spinning red dots are on the right. This is at the bottom of the TBird message pane. Makes me effing dizzy trying to read the email.

This version of TBird is totally effed up.

The spinner & text at the bottom are gone -- but this "invitation manager app" that was "integrated" into this rev is the ONLY changed addon.

screen shot of the other problem -- drop down menu pop up boxes are too small and cannot be resized.

You have another thread open for font sizes. So I m not going to go into that at all. As you have already determined with your small text add-on. Some add-ons are not compatible with the current version, some outright fail./ Other just do not work properly.. So disable all add-ons and re-enable one at a time until you locate the one that is just hanging. It would probably be a good idea if you posted the troubleshooting information on the help menu of Thunderbird on your other thread.

But then I have no idea how you keep track.

It opens in Thunderbird every time and I have to reduce it down to gain real estate vertically... pretty annoying, been showing up since newer versions in the summer. What is the purpose???
