After latest update email account stopped working on Thunderbird - does not recognize username or password

I had an email working (non gmail - account is from a domain I own) until the latest Thunderbird update. After installing the update (July 2015), this email address starting showing the error that 'sent emails can't be stored in sent file' - though incoming emails still worked. I tried many things and ultimately deleted the account, hoping this would work. When trying to add the email, I get the message that configuration could not work - are you sure username and email are correct? Both are definitely correct.

I use another IMAP email (different domain) with Thunderbird which has continued to work fine - but cannot get this one to work again. All solutions I've found online for this are in reference to Gmail - this is not a gmail account that I'm trying to use so these solutions don't work.

Many thanks for the help!
