When I try to send a new email, reply, or forward I get a halt saying certificate status invalid. How do I fix this?

When I go directly to Comcast.com to send email, it goes though fine. It's only when I use Thinderbird that I get a message from Avast, my virus scanner. The certificate belongs to COMODO, which has a "nonvalid digital signature".

This explains the problem, but gives me no clue as to how to solve it. Thanks for the reply.

ok, not Mozilla's problem. I'll try Avast again.
