Norton toolbar has started coming up as I open FF. Yes, I can manually "uncheck it" in the Toolbars drop-down-box to remove it from the screen; nonetheless, it continues to come up on open. A nuisance. I want to not see it...... at all.

Chosen solution

Add-on toolbars are usually generated by an extension. You can disable the Norton Toolbar extension on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then check for Norton Toolbar on the right side and you should find a Disable button.
