It used to be possible to left click and hold the site icon in the address bar and drag it to a folder on the bookmarks toolbar to create a bookmark. This functionality seems to have disappeared somewhere along the line.

It appears the problem may be intermittent. When I posted this question yesterday it wasn't working nor was I able to reorganise bookmarks in folders on the toolbar using drag and drop but today both are behaving as expected. I'm not aware that I've changed anything but that doesn't mean nothing's changed!

Hopefully it will behave from now on.

Thanks for responding.

Hi mozilla.101, It works for me !!

For addressbar links grab the icon at the left. The green padlock for this thread for instance. Or your name under the avatar for your profile link.

Have you tried doing it that way ?

Please post back to say whether or not that works ok for you ?

If it happens again then try to open a new window or close and restart Firefox.
