Firefox won't sync between a PC and Mac Yosemite

more options

My old Windows 7 PC is dying. It will only run in Safe mode. So I have a shiny new MacBook AIr running Yosemite. I have installed the latest version of Firefox on the Mac, the PC has 39.0, both on my home wifi network. I am signed in to Sync on both computers, there is a message saying Sync will start momentarily, but then nothing happens. What am I missing? Is there another step to the process?

Problem solved. I don't know what magic happened, but this am when I opened Firefox on the Mac and clicked on sync it worked. Bookmarks, add-ons, etc. are all there. Thanks for your responses.

The Mac came with Boot Camp installed. But I am not trying to run Windows on the Mac, just transfer my bookmarks, profile, etc. from the PC to the Mac version of Firefox.

Could you post a Sync log to see if there is a problem?

You can check the about:sync-log page via the location/address bar to see if there are error logs available.

You can upload a recent log to this website if the log is too big to put in a reply.

Can you export your bookmarks to a HTML file?
