Chosen solution

If you run both, Windows Defender and Kaspersky simultaneously, get rid of one. Running two anti-virus scanners at the same time will ultimately cause problems. And don't let your anti-virus software scan the Thunderbird profile folder. Don't let it scan incoming and outgoing messages. Don't let it scan email attachments.

christ1 antivirus is windows defender and Iolo kaspersky,i think..I cannot locate AppData using manual search i get to c:users\rext\Apps but NO AppData fileTHAT is the problem..ALL other Temp, tmp are EMPTY! and if I wait long enough the problem vanishes! so it is weird! thanks for your interest rex thompson

christ1, by the time I start windows/thunderbird in safe mode the problem would have VANISHED..so I cannot TEST your solution??there is NO file named AppData in the error message so I cannot check temp/tmp files.. the problem solves itself after a certain number of trying to SEND email.. I know it is weird but it slows me down frequently and I AM grateful for your interest! any ideas on how to solve? thanks rex thompson
