What graphics card do you have? Is your card so hot it could potentially fry, so-to-speak, your computer?
EVGA GTX 780 ti sc acx sli temps idle at 35deg when I open thunderbird they rise to 55deg when I close it they drop down to 35 again
thanks disabling hardware acceleration done the trick
