Firefox 38 search bar limitation on number of search engines that can be accessed.

more options

With a screen resolution of 1920X1080, if more than 150 search engines are added to the search bar the ones over 150 are inaccessible as is the add more search engines shortcut usually found at the bottom of the list of search engines. They are still all accessible via the options panel, but that pretty much defeats the purpose of the search bar doesn't it? There should be a scrolling function or the option to display more than five search engines per row. I've tried lengthening the search bar but the size seems fixed.

How about disabling the "new" Search Bar feature? This will get you back to what it was before Firefox 34.0.

Open up about:config (typed in the Location Bar) Right-click and toggle this preference to false

browser.search.showOneOffButtons

Then restart Firefox.
