Thunderbird is installed and working fine on my Windows Vista PC. If I upgrade the OS from Vista to Windows 7, will TBird still work as is? Will I have to install a new version of TBird or make any other changes to it?

Yes, Thunderbird works fine with Win7. You download and install the current Thunderbird version on the Win7 machine. Then transfer the Thunderbird profile to the new computer. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Move_to_a_new_PC

Thanks for trying to help, but that's not exactly what I was asking. I wasn't moving to a new computer, just doing an upgrade of the OS. Anyway, I went ahead with the upgrade and the answer is that TBird is working fine under Win 7 with no changes. It wasn't necessary to reinstall TBird or mess with the profile at all.
