Firefox 38.0.1 hangs when Gmail Notifier Plus or Gmail Notifier (restartless) notifies an email has arrived. No problem with previous Firefox versions. Only a hard reset with Windows in SAFE Networking mode allows removal of Add-on.

There is also a notification option in Gmail that will ask for permissions to notify during that session.
