checked on the phone with the senders who confirm that the emails have definitely been sent but do not arrive - any ideas?

Chosen Solution

Check in junk/spam folder. Check with web-mail if they arrived at your mail-server. Check with the sender that they haven't got a "fail to deliver"-return.
