It started recently, and I can't re-open closed tabs. The option in history drop down is also disabled. Also, even though I have set it to reopen tabs from last time on re-start, it wont do that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am on Firefox - 38.0.1 on Mac. Thanks in Advance!

I know the obvious thing to do it is to start clean but have way too much browsing history in Firefox to delete everything. Any ideas? :(

An update I thought of moving back to firefox 37, and that did the trick!

CmdShiftT works as well!!

Make sure that you close the Firefox application while the tabs are still open (Firefox > Quit).

If you first close the current Firefox window and still have the menu bar visible then you will have to check for recently closed windows/tabs.

that is correct - tabs opened when i quit firefox do not open upon re-start, even though the config is set to do so. Also Cmd+Shift+T does not re-open closed tabs :( That menu is also disabled, see screenshot.
