Downloaded latest Thunderbird to my Vista PC. From GoDaddy, I got all the info I needed for my IMAP account for incoming server, etc. The GoDaddy guy said to use manual configuration.

When trying to configure Thunderbird, I entered all the info but the "Done" button was grayed out. My only choices were "create new account", "re-test" & "cancel". I tried re-test & it said it was trying to connect to the server but that went on for 5 minutes & the GoDaddy guy said it should take 15 seconds. So there was no way to say done or finished.

The help pages say to enter the info & "after saving these changes", you can get your email. But how do I save the changes when the Done button is grayed out?

Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestion. I called GoDaddy back & it turns out I do NOT have SSL (the other guy said I did) so that's why it didn't work before. Now I have it configured. Thanks for your help.

disable your anti virus email scanner and see if that helps.
