Chosen solution

That is likely a problem with Trusteer software (RapportTanzanxx.DLL).

Make sure that you have the latest updates of your Trusteer software. You can try to contact Trusteer for support.

Try to update or uninstall and reinstall Trusteer Rapport and if that doesn't help then disable/stop the program for now.

  • Start Menu > Programs > Trusteer Rapport > Stop Rapport

Mac:System Preferences -> Other -> Rapport -> Stop Rapport

Could you post the URL(s) to the report(s) on the crash-stats server (or if you have IDs starting with bp- the forum can link those automatically)? There is a lot of additional detail there that might point us toward the source of the problem or potential solutions.

Hi, Most of the IDs start with BP. Here is the ID of another: ID: 2fab517b-4c95-43c9-b027-464c72150510

Almost every URL causes a crash sooner or lter/ Here is one that happens quickly: http://www.charismaofindia.ca/

Thanks

But... where is the bp- ?? The forum should automatically linkify them if you include the whole ID.

I'm not sure what else to do. Here is the ID from the most recent Crash Report.

ID: 4fdbac3f-84bb-4319-8be8-adca22150510 Signature: nsBaseAppShell::OnProcessNextEvent(nsIThreadInternal*, bool, unsigned int) | nsThread::ProcessNextEvent(bool, bool*) | mozilla::ipc::MessagePump::Run(base::MessagePump::Delegate*)

This is at the top of the page: Firefox 37.0.2 Crash Report [@ nsBaseAppShell::OnProcessNextEvent(nsIThreadInternal*, bool, unsigned int) | nsThread::ProcessNextEvent(bool, bool*) | mozilla::ipc::MessagePump::Run(base::MessagePump::Delegate*) ]

This most recent crash was on the Firefox support page. How else can I link to the report?

If you open the about:crashes page, you can click and drag starting from the word Report ID to the lower right to select the report IDs and then copy (Ctrl+c) and paste into a reply. (Screen shot attached showing my about:crashes page, if it's helpful.)

Actually, I discovered I can search some non-bp IDs on the server:

Most recent:

https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/4fdbac3f-84bb-4319-8be8-adca22150510

That report is linked to a bug entitled "Firefox 37.0.2 crashes with Trusteer Rapport". You probably are familiar with that software, which some banks require. In the bug, a person from IBM/Trusteer posted on May 6th:

"We are handling the issues raised here and we will start releasing a fix gradually to the field today (we expect it to arrive to the entire population in few days)."

So if you have the Rapport software, please try to update it and see whether that helps.

The earlier report doesn't link to that same bug, but sounds like a similar issue, so perhaps it is related. Anyway, I don't have any other ideas at the moment.
