I am trying to scan a document into my computer from my printer. My printer says: Try starting scan from computer. How do I do that?

Usually your printer manufacturer will provide custom software, or will tell you what applications are compatible with the scanner.

I'm not sure I've heard of Firefox being able to command a printer to start a scan (but I don't personally have a printer that can do it).
